Play Group
Uniforms : Girls are advised to wear beige colour tights under their uniforms,
especially on days when the Karate classes are conducted (Please check with your
coordinator for the class schedule). These tights are not sold in school but are
easily available in stores like Max and Hypercity. All hair accessories need to
be black in colour.
Footwear : Parents are requested to buy footwear that the child can easily
put on and take off by him/herself. Please avoid fancy foot wear, heels, and shoes
with laces. For more details, please refer to the handbook provided.
Activities : Music, Karate, Western Dance, Singing
The play school is located in Jubilee Hills, very close to Apollo Hospital. The
children here are divided into four classes based on age.
Playgroup (18 months – 2.5 years)
Pre KG (2.5 years – 3.5 years)
LKG (3.5 years – 4.5 years)
UKG (4.5 years to 5.5 years)
The design of the campus aims to create an environment conducive to learning and
symbolic of the values of the institution. The design addresses various aspects
like the existing landscape. The varied user age groups, the climatic conditions,
incorporating environment friendly building construction practices and integrates
the solutions to generate a cohesive environment that offers being in the institution
a pleasurable experience.
We have a team of dedicated “Aunties, didis, and bhaiyyas” who take
care of the children in this home away from home. At FKS we design our own curriculum
and the programme is planned according to the developmental stage of the child.
Timings:
Play group: 9.30AM – 12.30PM
Pre-KG and LKG: 8.30AM – 12.30 PM
UKG: 9.30AM – 2.30PM
The school works 5 days a week – Monday through Friday.
Facilities:
Books, stationery and other disposables are provided by the school. All children
are served milk or a fruit on their arrival, followed by breakfast. UKG children
are also served a hot nutritious lunch. Door to door transport facility is provided
on all key routes.

The design of the campus aims to create an environment conducive to learning and

incorporating environment friendly building construction practices and integrates
the solutions to generate a cohesive environment that offers being in the institution
a pleasurable experience.
The campus is fragmented into a number of comprehensible building units making to
respond to requirements of different age groups and functions but yet architecturally
integrated to generate a cohesive whole. Minimum intervention into the existing
landscape by following the topography of the site and retaining the prominent rock
formations existent thereby retaining the character of the place. Adopting environment
friendly building construction practices i.e., use of unplastered loadbearing flyash
(industrial waste) brick masonay walls with lime wash and unplastered stone masonry
walls, unplastered RCC surfaces.
Double layer Mangalore tile roofs, mild steel door and window frames, minimizing
the use of glass, cement and terracotta floorings buildings are designed to respond
to climate i.e. minimizing use of glass and using self shading adjustable window
devices, cross ventilation, double layer Mangalore tiled roofs with large overhangs
to cut down heat ingress, minimizing use of hard surfaces in landscape to, verandah
spaces as buffer zones, shaded courtyard open to sky spaces etc., the buildings
are designed to keep dependence on electricity to minimum.
Extensive landscape in progress incorporates a wide variety of fauna with agriculture
patches also intended to be educative to the children.

Books stationery, materials are provided for by the school. Textbooks are
to be paid for separately whenever they are issued.
Food:
The food served is balanced, fresh, simple and nutritious. While children in the
playschool are given milk and biscuits in the morning and a mid morning snack. Water
dispensers storing mineral water are stationed at locations in the main campus.
Mineral water is served in the playschool too.
Medical facilities:
At Puppalguda main campus we have a trained nurse available at school. Playschool
is located in close proximity to a hospital. In both the schools yearly Dental,
ENT checkups are given.
